Book-to-Movies at the Vogue

The Manistee County Library is seeking to pair up with the Vogue theater with book-to-movie events as often as possible. The Vogue is currently having a Harry Movie Marathon with a showing of each of the Harry Potter movies daily. The last movie will be shown on Sunday Oct. 30 at 5:00pm. Viewers who show their Manistee County Library card will receive a reduced price on admission, a free serving of “butterbeer”, and will make their own magic wands with pretzels and toppings after the movie.

On Halloween, at 7:30pm, the Vogue Theater and the Manistee County Library will pair up again with the showing of “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children”. People who may be too old to trick-or-treat but who are not too old to enjoy Halloween should come to the Vogue. Again, showing a Manistee County Library card will allow for a reduced priced ticket. Viewers who come to the show in costume will receive a free small popcorn. There will be treats for everyone, and the three viewers who are judged by library and theater staff to be ‘most peculiarly costumed’ will receive a bag of treats.

Both the Manistee County Library and the Vogue Theater look forward to further book-to-movie events as they become available. Please continue to follow our Facebook and websites for details!
