GENDER REVOLUTION Thursday 7:00 pm
The acclaimed 2017 National Geographic film GENDER REVOLUTION will be screened free of charge to the public on Thursday April 20 at 7:00 pm. The film explores gender complexities in everyday life, from birth through old age. Journalist Katic Couric spoke with scientists, psychologists, activists, author and families to explore the role of genetics, brain chemistry and modern culture on gender fluidity. Conversations range from the scientifically enlightening to the personal as she sheds light on untold stories of struggle understanding, ignorance, hurt and love. The screening runs for 90 minutes and will be followed by a moderated Q&A between the audience and the screening sponsor, PFLAG Manistee, the local chapter of the nation non-profit organization Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays.
