VOGUE THEATRE CLOSES IN ON PATRON NUMBER 150,000

MANISTEE, MICHIGAN—It comes as no surprise to the loyal patrons of the Vogue Theatre to learn that another milestone is about to be reached, this one even more quickly than the last. In September 2015 the Vogue celebrated its 100,000th patron with balloons and a New Year’s Eve-like celebration. Less than10 months later, each patron through the door is being carefully counted, and preparations are underway to surprise the 150,000th customer with a free ALL-ACCESS membership good for a year’s worth of unlimited free movies. In addition, the other patrons in attendance at the same screening will receive a free small popcorn.

“Though nationally, movie-going numbers are at historic lows, people are flocking to the Vogue. With family hits such as ZOOTOPIA, FINDING DORY and, most recently THE SECRET LIFE OF PETS, the Vogue has been able to welcome an average of 5000 guests a month. FINDING DORY just became The Vogue’s number 2 top grossing film behind STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS, said General Manager Brandon T. David. “It is time to celebrate this significant milestone”.

The volunteers, staff, and board of directors welcome people for movies 365 days per year, morning noon and night, supporting its mission to bring the biggest and best movies to Manistee. Operated as a 501c3 non-profit, The Historic Vogue Theatre of Manistee is proud of its ability to provide a top-notch theatre-going experience, lower ticket and concessions prices than other area theatres, and special community programming, much of it at low, or no cost to its patrons.

“In this month alone we have: hosted the top films in the nation, shown 3 kids films where all tickets were 25-cents, screened 3 “Made in Michigan” films, hosted a birthday party, held a BOOK TO MOVIE club with Manistee County Library, provided space for a Pet Adoption Day, and welcomed 16 new families into our membership program. This is something all of Manistee can feel proud of.”
