Position Description – Assistant Manager

 

The Assistant Manager serves many roles, but is primarily responsible for front of house duties at The Vogue.

 

Job Functions Include:

  • Assist with regular operational and technical duties of The Vogue as “Manager on Duty,” including supervision of day-to-day operations and representing the theatre to the community and its customers.
  • Work afternoons, evenings, nights, and weekends as part of a small, dynamic, cross-trained leadership team and “pinch hit” in roles normally filled by volunteers on a regular basis or when demand requires.
  • Be flexible, open-minded, and willing to assume—if not relish—a “jack of all trades” mindset: troubleshoot various issues that may arise, ranging from equipment to customer service.
  • Enjoy a wide variety of personalities and age groups, be comfortable with the unexpected: some days are busy, some are slow, and no two days are the same.
  • Assume a sense of ownership of The Vogue and its continued success.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager. 

Qualifications:

  • Cash handling and inventory experience are a plus
  • Ability to lift 35 pounds
  • General knowledge of Windows and iOS
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to effectively work as a collaborative leader and team member
  • Ability to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening; complete TAM training and certification upon hire

The Assistant Manager position is a part-time hourly position, starting at $15.00 per hour.


Average Hours: 16–20 hours per week (plus call-in hours, if necessary)
