The film is the inaugural screening for the Manistee Peace Group Film Series: Building Compassion Through Film. Underwritten by the Little River Band of Ottawa Indians and sponsored by the Manistee Peace group, this special one-time screening is presented FREE for our audience.

The novel, Neither Wolf Nor Dog, has sold nearly a half a million copies and is acknowledged as successfully bridging the gap between white America and the Native American world. The film, mostly set and shot in the Dakotas, starts in Minnesota. It was produced and directed by Steven Lewis Simpson after Neither Wolf Nor Dog author Kent Nerburn approached him personally and asked him to adapt his story for film.
