It is our way of saying “Thank You” for all the ways that your membership helps us underwrite the special programing that we are able to offer year round — much of it a low, or no cost to our patrons.
Things like Movies for School Groups, Saturday 25-cent Matinees, Costume Contests, Viewing Parties (like MSU vs UofM games), and Community Interest and Educational Screenings simply wouldn’t be possible without you, our members, so thank you.
OK, so what movie are we going to show?!?
Here are some hints from Brandon, our General Manager:
- We wanted to bring this film to the Vogue, but were unable to squeeze it into our already jam packed summer schedule. (Hint: it is a relatively new release.)
- The reason we chose the film is because it’s a great film. The themes relate to all walks of life and beg for discussion.
- It is “Certified Fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes; described as drama, fantasy, and soulful sci-fi.
- The film is rated PG-13 and will be good for general adult audiences and mature teens, which describes you our members, ages 12 – 99.
- The writer / director has a highly anticipated historical drama scheduled for release later this fall, which we most definitely will be working to get. (Hint: that film may be academy award contending.)
So get together with other members and celebrate what makes the Vogue so unique — our sense of place and space — where community members can get together to share great film.
